Since I’m so behind, you lovely people are getting two unboxing in one month. Luck you!
The theme for August was… OTHERWORLDS. Admittedly I was not instantly sold, but all you need is to mention ACOMAF and I am there! I was so glad that I did get this box because it’s been my favourite so far, so let’s take a look at what was included;
The first item, and the one I was most anticipating was of course the Witchsoul Candle from Book and Nook, because I love a bookish candle! Themed around the book of the month (whoosh I haven’t read) there were a couple of different scents that you could get, and was exclusive to FairyLoot. I got the scent Lisarah, made up of sandalwood, white musk and plums, which is a lavender colour, with violet glitter, and is amazing.
You could be forgiven in thinking that the candle was my favourite item but you would be wrong,
because nothing could beat the exclusive handmade Velaris necklace from Oh Panda Eyes. This is so gorgeous! And really well made! I just a adore it!
We also got a FairyLoot Fictional Worlds Sleeping Mask, another exclusive, which is black with a gold design. The straps are adjustable which it pretty handy, though admittedly I don’t usually wear sleeping masks, but maybe, now that I have one I will be converted. Who knows!
If there’s something that I love just as much as actual books, it’s a good notebook, so I was pretty pleased to see the Neverland Notebook, designed by TJ Lubrano. Another exclusive, this plain pages notebook is slender, and feels like nice quality, with a delicate watercolour rendering of Peter Pan on the front and back covers.
Finally, there was a very pretty art print by Melissa Nettleship, exclusive to FairyLoot, called Northern Lights. The colours, blues and greens mostly, are cute, and really remind me of Christmas for some reason. Especially the spaces of the houses, remind me of Bethlehem, but that’s probably just me!
Of course we also had the regular FairyScoop, a coupon for mini backdrops, the signed bookplate and letter from the author, a sample for Blackwing by Ed MacDonald, along with a cute raven temporary tattoo to match the book. There was also, and I have to draw your attention to this, because I thought it was so cool, a sample for Godsgrave by Jay Kristoff (the sequel to Nevernight, which is on my TBR) that folds out into a beautiful poster of the cover. I’ve never seen this before, and I just thought it was awesome!
The book of the month, as you may have already seen from my haul was Wicked Like Wildfire by Lana Popovic, which regardless of the story is gorgeous both in the dust jacket, and out. Since this is pretty long already, I’ll like the GoodReads page if you want to know more.
All done! You’ve made it to the end! I have ordered September’s box, ALL THAT SASS, I intend unbox that for you, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Thanks for reading!
